Louis R. Pizante

Chief Executive Officer
Mavent Inc.

As Chief Executive Officer, Lou Pizante oversees Mavent’s day-to-day operations and is responsible for the establishment of new client and strategic alliance relationships.

Prior to joining Mavent in 2002, Pizante was responsible for originating, marketing and executing real estate-related structure financial products for Greenwich, Conn.-based Greenwich Capital Markets. He has held additional positions with New York City-based Nomura Asset Capital, Goldman Sachs & Co. and Deloitte & Touche, LLP.

Mr. Pizante holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley; a master’s degree in business administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University; and a juris doctorate from New York University School of Law. Mr. Pizante is a member of the California Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Legal Issues and Regulatory Compliance Committee and is an alumnus of the MBA's Future Leaders Program. Pizante is a frequent speaker at mortgage conferences, contributor to industry publications, and has been quoted or had his work cited to in industry and national publications.

Mr. Pizante is also President and Founder of Put It Up Inc., a non-profit organization that provides financial literacy education to at-risk youth.

Paul Nidenberg

Chief Financial Officer
Mavent Inc.

Paul Nidenberg has been involved with Mavent since 2001 as an angel investor, advisor and officer. He is currently Mavent's Chief Financial Officer. In addition to his CFO responsibilities Mr. Nidenberg works to identify, engage and build key relationships with potential customers and capital markets participants, such as rating agencies, government-sponsored entities, Wall Street underwriters and mortgage-backed securities investors.

Prior to joining Mavent, Mr. Nidenberg spent more than 20 years on Wall Street as an Investment Banker, co-founding the commercial mortgage departments at Salomon Brothers, Daiwa Securities and Greenwich Capital Markets where he and his team created and executed many of the industry's first CMBS transactions and business models-- most of which are still commonplace today.

Mr. Nidenberg is based in New York City. He earned his bachelor's degree from Franklin and Marshall College and an MBA in Finance, with honors, from New York University.

Angela Cheek

Senior Vice President, Senior Legal Counsel
Mavent Inc.

Angela Cheek has extensive experience working with financial service providers on the implementation of compliance solutions. For more than 15 years, she has focused her career on operations, lending, real estate, and business law, working primarily with financial institutions, mortgage lenders, and technology companies.

Ms. Cheek is currently the Senior Vice President, Senior Legal Counsel of Mavent. She began her legal career specializing in compliance for financial service providers, serving as Operations Product Counsel for CFI ProServices, Inc. (now Harland Financial Solutions, Inc.) for six years. Ms. Cheek also maintained a financial services and business law practice for four years as an associate at the law firm of Farleigh, Wada & Witt PC, in Portland, Oregon, representing financial service companies, financial institutions and mortgage companies on regulatory, operational, compliance, privacy, and licensing issues.

Ms. Cheek is a member of the state bar associations of California and Oregon, and a member of the American Bar Association, including the Business Law Section, Committee on Consumer Financial Services. She also served as the Chairperson of the National Home Equity Mortgage Association Compliance and Servicing Subcommittee for two years.

Jason Connolly

Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Mavent Inc.

As Mavent's fourth employee, Jason Connolly continues to play a multifaceted role in the development of Mavent, making him extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the company. As Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Mr. Connolly is responsible for all aspects of sales, strategic alliances and marketing initiatives.

Prior to joining Mavent, Mr. Connolly was Vice President of Investment Banking at BCC Capital Partners, LLC, where he executed and supported mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance transactions and managed the firm’s commercial banking relationships.

Mr. Connolly earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University, Fullerton and holds a master degree in business administration from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

Lauren Ingersoll

Senior Vice President, Client Development Counsel
Mavent Inc.

As Senior Vice President of Client Development Counsel, Lauren Ingersoll's develops and maintains client and third party relationships through training and product support. In her role, Ms. Ingersoll’s primary responsibility is client support, as well as client and internal staff training. Ms. Ingersoll works with the company’s legal, compliance and technology staff to resolve issues and monitor any developing needs concerning mortgage compliance.

Ms. Ingersoll's professional legal experience includes positions as the Court Attorney for the Pohnpei Supreme Court, Litigation Attorney for Birnberg & Associates, and Law Clerk for the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency. Prior to her legal career, she was a database specialist for the research and development team at American Airlines.

Ms. Ingersoll earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Georgia and her juris doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

Scott McNulla

Senior Vice President, Professional Services
Mavent Inc.

Scott McNulla has been with Mavent for six years and is currently the Senior Vice President of Professional Services. His responsibilities include managing Mavent’s Implementation Team to ensure a smooth integration of Mavent’s compliance services with its clients systems, and managing the License and Index database group.

Mr. McNulla has worked for various lending institutions during his career, including First Federal Savings Bank, MIC, Victoria Mortgage, Countrywide, BrooksAmerica, and Downey Savings & Loan, holding management positions in system application development, systems integration, escrow management, secondary marketing, lending operations and loan servicing.

Mr. McNulla earned his Bachelor's of Science degree from Texas State University and is a member of the MISMO Origination workgroup and participates in industry conferences.

Bret Schaffer

Senior Vice President, Administration
Mavent Inc.

As Senior Vice President of Administration, Bret Schaffer leads Mavent’s contract negotiations with customers, prospects, and vendors. He also manages the company’s Human Resources department, along with intellectual property and risk management.

Prior to joining Mavent, Mr. Schaffer was a Managing Director at BCC Capital Partners, LLC, where he led the mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance groups. Mr. Schaffer was also the Director of Acquisitions at CWS Capital Partners, where he was responsible for the placement of institutional equity capital, and made investments for the company’s private limited partnerships.

Mr. Schaffer earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a master's degree in business administration from Pepperdine University. Mr. Schaffer also has earned his chartered financial analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Orange County Society of Investment Managers. In addition, he is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS) and serves on the Board of Advisors for Oncore Power Systems Inc.

Ryder Todd Smith

Senior Vice President, Operations
Mavent Inc.

Ryder Todd Smith has worked in information technology for seven years, serving as IT Manager at both a staffing firm and vision insurance provider.

As Senior Vice President of Operations, Mr. Smith provides leadership to Mavent’s technology operations team. The Operation Team is responsible for providing technology tools to Mavent’s staff and keeping the production environment of the Mavent application up and running. Prior to his role in technology operations, Ryder led marketing, worked in sales and led Mavent’s government relations efforts.

Previously, Mr. Smith has worked for Northrop Grumman Corporation as a state and local government representative, analyzing and reporting on California legislation. He also has served as an independent consultant to several public works companies in the waste management and water industries.

Mr. Smith earned a bachelor's degree in Politics, philosophy and economics from Claremont McKenna College, where he currently serves as the President of the Alumni Association.

Joe Chang

Vice President, Product Development
Mavent Inc.

As vice president of Product Development, Chang is responsible for all aspects of Mavent’s product development, including strategy, requirements gathering, release planning and product roadmap management. Since joining Mavent in 2002, he has served in several key management positions as manager of Product Development, Operations and Development.

Chang has more than 15 years of experience specializing in all aspects of software development activities including release planning, architecture and system design, and implementation. He earned his bachelor of art in Economics, from National Taiwan University and holds a master of science degree in Computer Science from Syracuse University.

Steve Ridder

Vice President, Sales
Mavent Inc.

As Vice President of Sales, Steve Ridder brings 13 years of experience in quality assurance and business-to-business technology sales, with more than four years experience in the sales of automated compliance technology.

Mr. Ridder is responsible for the application of both the Mavent Expert System, its MC2 front-end portal and other integrated products and services to meet the needs of lenders, investors and other potential clients or distribution partners. His primary role entails increasing awareness of Mavent products and lowering barriers to platform usage by structuring partnerships with LOS and POS providers. Ridder will also provide advisement to existing and potential clients on solving their unique problems.

Before joining Mavent, Ridder served as Senior Sales Director of ComplianceEase, a provider of automated compliance technology, where he built expertise in understanding the risk management needs of clients and the best means of solving their problems. He also served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for St. Petersburg, Fla.-based National Mortgage Acceptance Corp. (NattyMac), where he was responsible for developing and exploring new business relationships for the company in the western United States.
