Mavent compares all of the borrower names and aliases against the OFAC’s Specially Designated Nationals, Blocked Persons and Countries List (i.e. the “SDN” list), Bureau of Industry and Security Denied Persons list maintained by the U.S. Department of Commerce, as well as similar lists established by the Canadian and British governments. In addition, the system may validate the format for the borrower's and the co-borrower's social security numbers and verifies the SSN against the government’s Death Master File list and the “pocket book” numbers list.
