Broker & Lender Licensing

Mavent maintains a proprietary nationwide database of over 450,000 licensed mortgage entities, including lenders and brokers. The database is updated by Mavent as frequently as state regulatory agencies make new licensing information available. Mavent uses this database to provide the following services:

Broker and Lender License Monitoring

On a daily basis, Mavent monitors a client's brokers and correspondents across all jurisdictions providing information on what licenses the client's counterparties maintain and whether those licenses are at all times active and in good standing. Mavent provides its clients with continous updates respecting broker and correspondent licensing information, including the license types maintained, expiration dates and any adverse actions (suspensions or revocations). Mavent can also monitor a client's branch offices to make certain they remain properly licensed for their book of business. This service is available on a batch basis.

Loan-Level License Monitoring

Mavent reviews individual loan transactions to ensure that:

  • The broker and lender for a loan transaction are licensed in a particular jurisdiction
  • The licenses are active and in good standing
  • The licenses authorize the brokering and making of the particular loan

Optionally, and in addition to the above, Mavent can review the loan to ensure the broker or correspondent is approved for business by the client. Mavent manually researches all exceptions. This service is available on a manual, batch or interactive (i.e. LOS-integrated) basis.

Licensing Search Engine

Mavent improves broker and correspondent due diligence management by providing clients with access to Mavent's continually updated nationwide repository of licensing data. Clients can utilize the database as part of the approval process for new third party relationships and to ensure existing brokers and correspondents maintain active licenses required for applicable transactions.
